Being the Best You Possibly Can Be

The Greeks believed eudaimonia (well-being, flourishing) is achieved through arete (excellence). In other words, by being the best you can be. And education, I'll add, comes from a root word that pretty much means to draw out your natural talents.

Once something is created and laid out in formula, recipes, of whatever how-to-do system, it is only the skill that must be learned, not the intellectual/creative talent that was necessary to discover and establish the new thing.
