I do believe Donald Trump is mildly corrupt, as are Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg (I also think Gates and Zuckerberg feel guilty, which accounts for their philanthropy).
Why do I think they are corrupt? Because behind every great fortune is a great crime. That's an old observation.
However, add together the corruption of all three of them and it is a single-digit fraction of the corruption of the Hildabeast.
The Hildebeast got every dime of her money through extortion and politics. The other three were at least vaguely free market and did give people something for their money. The Hildabeast, like every politician only took and never gave.
Plus, the Hildabeast is a pathological liar and even lies when it would benefit her to tell the truth.
I've been writing about the relationship between self-deception and lying. And every corrupt person I've ever met has been a liar. A big, accomplished liar.
The entire Bush crime family is full of liars (Dubya Shrub, that POS war criminal, said he considered the Hildabeast "my sister." What does that say about his self-deception, lying and corruption?).
I I was raised in a blue-collar middle-class family. Blue-collar men are paid according to their honesty and reputation. My father was a general contractor and had an excellent reputation.
I still trust blue-collar men over everyone else.
However, when I graduated college and got a job as a newspaper editor, I ran across corruption galore - and I found the more degrees and money certain people made, the more corrupt they were - because their pay was completely separated from their productivity. Not that they believed that, because of their immense self-deception.
The free market at least minimizes corruption. Politics maximizes it. Look at the corruption in the financial markets and banks - and politics is greatly intertwined with both.
I have an 84-year-old friend (who was a pilot in Korea on a B-29 bomber) who spent his life as a political consultant. He told me he's only met on politician who didn't have sex, money and drug problems (the Clintons and the Bushes are perfect examples of both - and neither family has ever had an honest job in their lives).
Thank God the American people finally saw through the Bush crime family and used Trump as their tool to destroy their political aspirations. With any luck the Hildabeast will be the next to go.
I'd rather see a smart cab driver as President than any of the crop we've had for the last 50 years. At least their pay is related to their productivity and not their lying and corruption, the way it is with politics or anything tainted by politics.
The Founding Fathers did not want political offices to be highly paid. They knew it brought the roaches out of the woodwork.
They were right then and still are right now. In fact we’d minimize political corruption and lying if no politician could become rich through politics.

I like to think that Trump, although he is certainly no choir boy, is the "least worst" of the picks for President. I certainly don't think that Trump is even remotely evil to the great extent like Clinton.
The media intensely hates Trump, so he must be doing something right.
"The Founding Fathers did not want political offices to be highly paid. They knew it brought the roaches out of the woodwork."
That's the other problem though with the federal and state governments. Most of it needs to be abolished which would result in a commensurate decrease in corruption.
Voting is a joke at the federal level and even local level when the districts are gerrymandered into incomprehensible maps and there are 4 million plus federal parasites at the trough making up regulations that have the force of law.
I don't know that you can describe Trump as corrupt as he is not a politician or a bureaucrat so is not in a position to do favors for someone (except maybe hire them at his own company - which he is entitled to do for any reason). Maybe conniving but not "corrupt".
