I also get a great deal of hostility from divorced women, to whom I have done nothing. It's as if they look at me and go "Argh!"
Some of those who look at me are young enough to be my daughters, which makes me think father issues, which means divorce, broken families and kids yearning for that which they lack.
What am I, a lightning rod?
Obviously, if I am getting this response, there is a major problem here.
Walk though a mall sometime. Ninety-nine percent of the stores there cater to women. Yet the economy is powered by men (most women's jobs are parasitical). So men make the money and women spend it?
Lots of malls have closed and others are half empty.
So what happens if men don't get married and create surplus wealth? If they just make enough to live and lead minimal lives? Oops.
I recently met a young married women in her middle twenties who moved with her husband from Ohio (where she said there were no jobs) to Albuquerque. She was assistant manager at a coffee shop. I don't know what he did. But she said they were not not going to have any children.
This article is from the site Bloomberg and was written by Rich Miller.
"Single Americans make up more than half of the adult population for the first time since the government began compiling such statistics in 1976.
"Some 124.6 million Americans were single in August, 50.2 percent of those who were 16 years or older, according to data used by the Bureau of Labor Statistics in its monthly job-market report. That percentage had been hovering just below 50 percent since about the beginning of 2013 before edging above it in July and August. In 1976, it was 37.4 percent and has been trending upward since.
"In a report to clients entitled 'Selfies,' economist Edward Yardeni flagged the increase in the proportion of singles to more than 50 percent, calling it 'remarkable.' The president of Yardeni Research Inc. in New York said the rise has 'implications for our economy, society and politics.'
"Singles, particularly younger ones, are more likely to rent than to own their dwellings. Never-married young singles are less likely to have children and previously married older ones, many of whom have adult children, are unlikely to have young kids, Yardeni wrote. That will influence how much money they spend and what they buy.
"He argued the increase in single-person households also is exaggerating income inequality in the U.S.
“'While they have less household earnings than married people, they also have fewer expenses, especially if there are no children in their households,' Yardeni wrote.
"The percentage of adult Americans who have never married has risen to 30.4 percent from 22.1 percent in 1976, while the proportion that are divorced, separated or widowed increased to 19.8 percent from 15.3 percent, according to the economist.
"Yardeni is known in the financial markets for coining the phrase 'bond vigilantes' in the 1980s to describe investors who were selling Treasury securities because of fears about big U.S. budget deficits."

The biggest problem that the rulers will have - as they encourage this collapse of society - is how to incentivize men to produce at excess capacity without marriage and family. Those have been the primary motivators in the past. Without that excess production (ie, producimg more than they need for themselves), society collapses in a heap.
The populations is aging. Baby Boomers didn't have many children. Also, there are growing number of widows and widowers who aren't re-marrying, most of them elderly. The young are a smaller portion of the population than in the past.
I'm over sixty. I get hit on all the time too, from girls to women over fifty. Tho there's an element of flattery, it's mostly embarrassing (for both of us). U.S. females have painted themselves into a corner (the corner power-office) and now want to be bailed out on the personal front. They want their Empowerment, and their Romance too. They want to rule over and control men, but simultaneously somehow have Masculine Men love and romance them. Fried ice.
America exists to please and serve females, from the President to Congress to the courts to the malls (economy) to the modern (un)family. Females collectively rule over everything, including males, and this can only shatter society and make females themselves miserable. However, women are now far too proud to admit they were duped and chose unwisely, or did anything wrong at all, so instead they keep on Hoping Against Hope . . . and hitting on sixty-plus year old guys. Gee, it's almost as if Amerikan females can't find any MASCULINE MEN left in their uber-matriarchal k-k-culture. Whatta incredible shock eh?
All very sad, horrible for 'The Children', and terrible for the nation and planet. But Forward we go! komrades to a Brighter Feminist Future!
Cheers.
@Ray - I'm in my late 50s and I find I can say things to young women that a younger man might not because they don't perceive me as "hitting" on them - and usually I'm not. As for older women - 40s and up - they are happy for the attention from a man who's not a bum. But my question to you is: how young do the women go who are legitimately hitting on you or accepting your advanced? I mean excluding those who are just humoring "pops".
