The United States was Founded as a Republic, Not a Democracy

"If you can keep it," as Benjamin Franklin said.

The Founding Fathers despised democracy. They knew their history and they understood it always collapsed in mass murder and and torture and mutilation and the collapse of government and society.

They wanted to put some institutions between Mass Man and the government. That's the purpose of the Electoral College. They had no interest in the democratic election of the President. Some of them didn't even want a President.

They only wanted the best to vote. White men of property, which meant those with some intelligence. They had no intention of women or blacks voting. Or Muslims, or Mexicans, or Asians.

The myth is that the Hildabeast won the popular vote. I seriously doubt that. Once you take out the million or so illegal aliens voting, Trump crushed Clinton.

And even if the vote was razor-thin, so what? Trump crushed Clinton in the electoral college.

I'm originally from Illinois and despise the People's Communist Democracy of Cook Country (which means Chicago). Why should Cook County outvote the rest of the rest of the state and take their money - which is what they do.

And why should a populous state such as the People's Communist Democracy of California have any say over, say, Missouri or Tennessee? That's what democracy does. The Electoral College puts a stop to that.

Please put out of your mind the MSM (or anybody) screaming that the Hildabeast won the popular vote. She didn't. And even if she barely did, it means nothing because direct democracy (except for towns) is a catastrophe.

The Founding Fathers knew what they were doing.

The "All men are equal" quote is always taken out of context and misunderstood, either intentionally or not, by many people. The authors define and meant educated White European men as you say Bob, not women, blacks, and other non-whites.

Once the people (the race and genetics thereof) of a civilization disappear for whatever reason, the civilization and society that they created will disappear as well. It's really that simple. (Just look at places like Detroit, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Miami, and South Africa with the results of their changing demographics.)

Actually, this phrase is abundantly clear. And Arthur Kemp is a fraud.

"They only wanted the best to vote. White men of property, which meant those with some intelligence. They had no intention of women or blacks voting. Or Muslims, or Mexicans, or Asians."

At that particular juncture in time, absolutely. But the funny thing about society and its institutions is that it changes. As the Founding Fathers made it clear, it was the decision of future generations by way of Congress to limit or expand suffrage and citizenship.

No, it's not. It meant Americans were the equal of the British and not inferior because of birth and inherited wealth.

That's what I've been saying all along: at least 2-3% of the Hillary vote would be fraudulent. So Trump did win the popular vote as well. But let's reverse the argument: if Hillary won the Electoral vote but Trump won the popular vote, do you think the Democrats would still be incensed at the "unfairness" of it all?

No, of course not. But then, leftists have no honor and always lie. To them, anyone who disagrees with them - especially the troglodytes in Flyover Land - are evil and don't deserve any to vote.

That's the way it is here in the pacific northwest with King County (Seattle) and Portland Or deciding for the rest of us in "drive=by" country how we have to accept their liberal shit and pay for it as well.

That's ok though, because they are a constant source of schadenfreude for me. I have never been so entertained in the 30 years I've lived here where every morning is a joy to behold the news of their moronic self-inflicted emotional turmoil.

Ha! Ha! Ha!

The purpose of the electoral college is to handle the fact that it simply took a long tine to get anywhere back in the late 18th century. Before cars and rail, before the telegraph, the state legislatures would choose some electors (each according to their own laws for doing that) and pack them off to Washington. That is the "why" of the system.

I'm right and you don't know what you are talking about.

It meant men were equal to one another, not inferior because of birth and inherited wealth.
