The Semi-Catastrophe of the Intelligence Community

"Let everyone who advocates war be enrolled in a special regiment of advance-guards, for the front of every storm, of every attack, to lead them all!”Anna Karenina, Leo Tolstoy

The first time I realized there was something wrong with the "Intelligence Community" was when they were claiming the Soviet Union was doing gangbusters economically and then the whole place just completely collapses and disappears. They missed it completely. That’s utter incompetence.

I thought, “Where are these morons from? Harvard? Yale? Princeton?” Schools that should be closed down (I call their graduates, such as C-student born-rich-never-worked-a-day-in-his-life-ran-from-volunteering-for-Vietnam Dubya and Donald Rumsfeld, “high-IQ idiots”).

The second time was when they claimed Saddam Hussein had "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and was going to nuke us in our beds (the only thing he had was some poison gas, and if poison gas in a Weapon of Mass Destruction then so is a machine gun or a 9mm or a car or a truck, as sand kaffirs have demonstrated more than once in Europe).

Saddam Hussein used poison gas on his own people (which is not my problem) and if anyone thinks it is why did they not volunteer to be in the first wave to invade Iraq and Afghanistan? Why? Because they’re chickenhawk cowards who think others should fight and die while they give advice from the sidelines. And such people will never, ever get in the game. That’s what having a big mouth and no balls does to people.

They only two things I need to know about a country are the GNP (for the former Iraq about one billion dollars a year, all from oil) and the mean IQ (for Iraq, about 89, which is four points above “moron”). And people that stupid and poor are going to create nuclear weapons? Give me a break (we have smaller states like South Carolina which have bigger economies than Iraq).

I remember reading an article by Gregory Cochran (who is a well-known nuclear physicist) pointing out in detail that Iraq did not have nuclear weapons. I thought, Why was the incompetent Dubya Shrub (contemptuously referred to as “Junior” by the men in his father’s administration) not listening to a man who knew what he was talking about (Shrub was a buffoon who had Jew cowards and traitors and warmongers like Douglas Feith - whom U.S. General Tommy Franks called "the fucking stupidest guy on the face of the earth," - Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz in his administration). He wasn't listening because he had already made up his dim-bulb mind and was looking to rationalize it (he also said he didn't "do nuance" and should be dictator).

Almost all Presidents have been politicians - and we've had some terrible ones. Abraham Lincoln, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, Dubya Shrub, Barak Obama. Catastrophes all. None of them, of course, ever knew it (Dubya should be serving life in prison as a war criminal, in the cell next to rapist Bill Clinton).

I've pointed out before it's easier - a lot easier - to lie to yourself than to other people. It's one of the easiest things in the world to lie to yourself (such people are also very susceptible to believing lies others tell them).

Now they’re babbling about the Russians trying (and failing) to hack U.S. elections. So what’s new? I’m sure everyone to trying to hack everything in the U.S. – North Koreans, Chinese, Albanians, some fat neckbeard slob in the “command center” in his parent’s basement.

Thank God Trump is not a politician. That's a huge plus for him. And he does appear to be draining the swamp, including the swamp of the "Intelligence Community."

"Intelligence Community"? Ha! That's an oxymoron if there ever was one.

Maybe you should remember that Clinton and his fellow Democrats stated that there were WMDs in Saddam's arsenal and he was attempting to build nuclear weapons; you should also remember the repeated attempts to inspect Saddam's nuclear facilities all through the nineties; and you should remember the - what - seventeen UN sanctions or resolutions against Saddam throughout the nineties: Bush was the President who finally acted upon them to the utter dismay of the Democrats who then disavowed all they said during the nineties; but not before wailing that Clinton should have rightly been the War President, not Bush. You should also remember the yellow cake that was found and shipped back to the U.S. and Canada.

  2. I know, right? It's totally bizarre. I read that intelligence report just for the doublespeak alone. They have "assessed" that Putin "aspired" to.....something. All but the NSA who is only "moderately certain" Putin aspired. Well shoot, I aspire to win the lottery. I think we can safely conclude people aspire to things all the time. It's a bit like saying," well he wanted to interfere in the election and if he could have, he would have, which is almost exactly like actually doing it." Except it's not at all and even a kangaroo court would laugh at you.

Also interesting to note, the President allegedly received intelligence about this alleged hacking months ago. Allegedly there was a firm consensus based on the work of 17 intelligence agencies. And President Obama promptly responded by..... lecturing Trump, “It doesn’t really show the kind of leadership and toughness you want in a president, you start whining before the game is even over? If whenever things are going badly for you, and you lose, you start blaming somebody else? Then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job. I’d advise Mr. Trump to stop whining and go try to make his case to get votes.”

That was back when they thought they were winning. How fast they changed their tune.

No, it wasn't. Get your facts straight.

  6. LOL. Careful Bob - you're sounding like those clucky fat old liberal ladies with bad haircuts and no brains. You need to do some homework, old man - and inform yourself. There is no excuse for this level of cluelessness.

Nerve and chemical weapons are classed as WMD's. If one went off in Tel Aviv or New York the death toll would be in the many tens of thousands and quite possibly the hundreds of thousands. Saddam did have the aircraft and the missiles to deliver these weapons and even fired one at Tel Aviv. You still haven't accounted for the material at those military sites and on those convoys that the UN Inspectors were denied access too - which was in itself grounds for intervention under UN law. You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts. The fact that he didn't have large standing stocks of WMD's is irrelevant - his intent was to procure them and he had made arrangements to do so in defiance of international law.

Many of those convoys eventually made their way to Iran - who, coincidentally, has a thriving nuke program on the go now. The international atomic energy commission has been quietly having a bird for the last decade: massive stocks of weapons grade fissile materials have disappeared. Any guesses where they might have ended up, Bob?

Some people simply never learn, and history repeats. Saddam was the same classic maniac Adolph Hitler was. The same fools came forward to try and avoid fighting until the last possible moment - which only assured higher body counts. And, just as we were all caught unprepared, with out pants down in WW2 - I note that most of America's naval assets are docked awaiting long overdue maintenance.

So, just speaking for myself - a sparklingly intelligent 50-something stubfart who takes the time to make informed opinions: yep, I would far rather be on the front line of an invasion force headed for Iraq or Iran, even at my age - rather than be trapped in the top floors of a burning sky scraper that was about to collapse. Or having my head cut off by some pisslamic sand nigger because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Your mileage may vary. Fact is that if it had been Trump running the show instead of Dubya - the results would still have been the same.

We stand athwart the tides of history, and Uncle Bob is picking his nose. :)

Sand kaffirs killing sand kaffirs is not my problem or the problem of the United States.

It's not...but there is a special track of land in the Middle East dangerously close to Iraq that gets a lot of funds from the US and probably influenced the US's decision.

If you are going to bring 9/11 into it...why the hell would you fight Iraq or Iran? Most of the pilots were from Saudi Arabia and if Osama was behind it...he was in Pakistan or Afghanistan. I could never understand the reasoning to get involved with Iraq's affairs other than W just wanted to finish what his daddy started.

  10. Whatever alleged weapons were found in Iraq under Saddam did not get there by themselves. This had the approval of the US to be sold by companies in France and Germany for example.

Glenn is a chickenshit who should have been sent over there to get shot. The CIA put Saddam in power which is another overlooked fact.

Exactly! And he was our ally until Shrub decided to invade the country.

  12. "And people that stupid and poor are going to create nuclear weapons?"

I first started getting suspicious about the existence of Iraq's WMDs when I saw news footage of the UN inspectors at Iraqi research facilities. "Wait- these guys don't even have money to replace broken windows or repaint the walls, and they're supposed to be building WMDs?" Their equipment looked like it had spent years rusting on some redneck's front lawn in south Alabama.

"I thought, “Where are these morons from? Harvard? Yale? Princeton?” Schools that should be closed down."

My father-in-law grew up in Cambridge MA, just down the street from a lot of famous professors and "statesmen". He even got accepted into Harvard back in ancient times, but chose not to attend. He later worked for several years in New Haven, CT. From long and extensive personal experience, his opinion of "the best and the brightest" and the quality of their educations is about the same as yours. You couldn't pay him to accept a degree from one of those schools today.
