Even then I knew the woman was immensely self-deluded. I thought, "Just how dumb is this woman?" And I wasn't even a fan of Reagan.
Now I'm seeing on the news about how a bunch of people (mostly women, of course, many of whom are ruled by their feelings) who are going to march in protests about the inauguration of Donald Trump. “200,000 people!” the Mainstream Media blared. Maybe more like 2000 will be there.
These people of course are wasting their time. The only reason they're doing it is to make themselves feel better. But then, liberals and leftists always do that.
Some years later after interviewing this goofball I read a book by Thomas Sowell called, The Vision of the Anointed, about policy as "self-congratulation."
I'm sure all these people marching in these protests are congratulating themselves about "standing up" to that "Nazi/fascist/sexist/racist" now in the White House.
Some people operate only on their feels, although they always delude themselves it's reason.
I got one of my liberal friends to admit all the theatrics and protesting was just to make himself feel temporarily better. But nothing about it accomplishing anything.
ReplyDeleteI realize protests will never stop, but I would settle for them simply noting the relationship between pepper spray, tear gas, and throwing bricks at cops.
ReplyDeleteIt's a small thing, but it would make me quite happy if CNN would say something like, "attacking cops causes tear gas," rather than, "innocent civilians are being pepper sprayed, let's hope this is not how Trump plans to run his administration."
Its too complex for these pinheads, but they're out protesting against the guy standing up to the system by beating the Corporate Sponsored Crooks. Gee, politics is hard when viewed through a drug addled haze with a limited worldview, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of these "protesters" are being paid.
ReplyDeleteYou remember a skit from the comedy show Laugh-In, where everyone at a party is discussing the (then) Presidential election?
ReplyDeleteWhere Dan Rowan comments "National Election Day is the one day you stay sober so you can elect a candidate who'll drive you to drinking for the next four years."?
"Gee, politics is hard when viewed through a drug addled haze with a limited worldview, I guess."
ReplyDeleteWe get to bear witness to your delusions every time you post here, "Josh".
I might disagree.
ReplyDeleteThe rioters and protesters are not motivated. They are not out for a cause, they are out to draw attention to themselves. They will run like mice when the first shots are fired.
Politics are dividing families. When that happens, civil war can't be far behind.
They have to thank Trump for one thing: dissent against the government is permitted again. We couldn't criticize Obama because racist. And we would not have been able to cricize Hillary because misogynist. But a white, Christian male like Trump - we can all have at it.
ReplyDeleteTrump a Christian?
ReplyDeleteHe's a fornicator.
And covetous as well.
And a slanderer.
And way too pride-obsessed ...
But, yes, he IS a white male ...
America and the world dodged a bullet with Trump being elected. Even with all of his issues - real or not, that people have with him, Trump is far better than Clinton.

ReplyDeleteIf nothing else Trump has destroyed the political aspirations of the Bush Crime Family, who, as family, are the worst thing that has ever happened to America.
