The Seven Deadly Sins are these: luxuria (lechery/lust), gula (gluttony),avaritia (avarice/greed, acedia (sloth/discouragement), ira (wrath), invidia (envy), and superbia (pride).
Wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.
Wikipedia describes them thus: "Each is a form of Idolatry-of-Self wherein the subjective reigns over the objective."
Experience and history has shown the worst sin of all, and the basis of all others, is pride (or hubris).
I found have the certain sins predominate in each sex.
Of course, for both, the worst is pride. But for women I have found for women it's pride and envy (that's one of the lessons of the story of the Garden of Eden in Genesis.
When women have too much pride they think they are always right and men are always (Carl Jung said women's greatest flaw was thinking she was always right and would never be happy until she gave it up). And when women have too much pride they think no man is good enough for them. The cure for this is being humbled.
For men it tends to be pride and wrath, which is why men start wars.
The word actually means to "miss the mark" and to repent means to "change your heart and mind." So, to "repent from your sins" is best translated, "You has missed the mark so you must change you heart and mind."
All this missing the mark - all "sins" - are childish.
Again, both history and experience has shown women, at their worst, are far more childish than men (Schopenhauer called women "big children"). And what causes this? When mature men don't assert authority over them.
When men go MGTOW, in the sense of becoming slackers, that's just sloth...discouragement...despair. When they become PUAs, that's wrath and lust (contrary to the hallucinations of the Manosphere, PUAs don't like women and ultimately are afraid of them). Sometimes they just want revenge on women, which is an attempt to replace feelings of humiliation with (guess what?) pride. That's why my experience with these PUAs is that they're weak and insecure.
Logically, then, the more men withdraw (sloth) or become PUAs (lust and wrath) the worse women are going to get! And the more envious and proud (hubris) women will become.
These things go in cycles, which is why I refer to them as feedback systems: A affects B, then B affects A. Men failed to assert authority, women became even more childish, proud and envious (check the life of the insane Shulamith Firestone), men responded with sloth, wrath and lust, then women are going to respond to that, in many cases by becoming even more childish.
All this will continue until men reassert their authority over childish women. It'll happen sooner or later. Just don't know when, though.
“We also saw that women have many traits in common with children; that their moral sense is deficient; that they are revengeful, jealous, inclined to vengeances of a refined cruelty. In ordinary cases these defects are neutralized by piety, maternity, want of passion, sexual coldness, by weakness and an undeveloped intelligence. But when a morbid activity of the psychical centres intensified the bad qualities of women, and induces them to seek relief in evil deeds; when piety and maternal sentiments are wanting, and in their place are strong passions and intensely erotic tendencies, much muscular strength and a superior intelligence for the conception and execution of evil, it is clear that the innocuous semi-criminal present in the normal woman must be transformed into a born criminal more terrible than any man. What terrific criminals would children be if they had strong passions, muscular strength, and sufficient intelligence; and if, moreover, their evil tendencies were exasperated by a morbid psychical activity! And women are big children; their evil tendencies are more numerous and more varied than men’s, but generally remain latent.” - Cesare Lombroso

One childish trait I've noticed disproportionately amongst women is the inability to make decisions and stick to them. They'll spend 3 hours debating where to go for a 90-minute dinner out, and when they get there, they'll wish they'd gone someplace else. That's probably also one reason (amongst many others- alimony, etc) why I see more women than men who are serial divorcees. I don't think I've ever met a man who was divorced more than once or twice, but I've known women who married and divorced 5 or more times, always to deadbeats and losers (it can't have just been for money, because those guys didn't have any).
I've learnt never to request a woman's input more than once- if I ask her what she would like, and she dithers or refuses to state a preference, I make the decision for her and don't look back. If she complains later: "I asked you what you wanted, and you didn't answer". End of discussion.

Thomas Aquinas pointed out that envy is the only one of the 7 deadlys that does not stem from the corruption of any legitimate or noble impulse. Wrath is a perverted form of the desire for justice, gluttony a corruption of the desire for nourishment, lust is a warping of urge to reproduce, etc. Envy, though is purely negative, if you define it as resentment and hatred directed toward others over the good things they possess and you do not. Chesterton does a good number on why envious egalitarian leftists (often women) are spiritually worse than most ordinary criminals:
"We say that the dangerous criminal is the educated criminal. We say that the most dangerous criminal now is the entirely lawless modern philosopher. Compared to him, burglars and bigamists are essentially moral men; my heart goes out to them. They accept the essential ideal of man; they merely seek it wrongly. Thieves respect property. They merely wish the property to become their property that they may more perfectly respect it. But philosophers dislike property as property; they wish to destroy the very idea of personal possession. Bigamists respect marriage, or they would not go through the highly ceremonial and even ritualistic formality of bigamy. But philosophers despise marriage as marriage. Murderers respect human life; they merely wish to attain a greater fullness of human life in themselves by the sacrifice of what seems to them to be lesser lives. But philosophers hate life itself, their own as much as other people's."
Greeks, and I'm sure others, noticed that the benign form of envy is admiration. But I just can't see envy being the corrupted form of admiration. It's does have some connection to emulation and competition, though.
Joseph Pieper, who was a neo-Thomist, had a big influence on me with this books, especially on the Four Cardinal Virtues.
"When men go MGTOW, in the sense of becoming slackers, that's just sloth...discouragement...despair."
One could view MGTOW that way. Another way to view MGTOW?
MGTOW are wise enough to realize that the game is rigged against men (by women, corporations and the government).
MGTOW have either personally seen or at least heard of the tens of millions of men who's lives have been destroyed by divorce through the past 4 plus decades. They've taken note.
MGTOW realize that most modern women are pathologically narcissistic and entitled.
MGTOW don't see life through illusions and enchantments (AKA: Rose Colored Glasses).
MGTOW realize that relationships with women can cost them their futures.
MGTOW have done a cost/benefit analysis and have realized the costs of relationships with women far outweigh the benefits.
MGTOW have grown past early onset naivete and ignorance and are able to accept reality, no matter how harsh that reality might be.
I'm personally very much a MGHOW. I'm in the top 10% of income earners. I own my own home, have tons in savings, have a great career and education. I have no problem turning down advances by women who wish to engage in relationships. I know very well how the relationship game is played from a woman's perspective and want no part of that.
Am I discouraged or in despair? Nope. I'm just extraordinary street wise. I have my fellow MGTOW to thank for that.
Once one gets their priorities in order, one realizes that poody isn't all it's cracked up to be. Living for the poody can destroy your life.
