My wife respects me but the rest of the family does not. My in laws actively disrespected me until one day I snapped and flipped them the bird about 5 years ago. They are no longer welcome in my home - and they have tried to apologize for their disrespect several times but for some reason I just don't want to hear it. I suppose an Alpha would forgive them and try and put things right... and I sometimes wonder if the monkey is driving my car or theirs...or both? I consider myself a man and I really don't need the respect of others...it is disrespect that I won't put up with.
